Many of us have grandparents or great-grandparents who farmed for a living, but a lot has changed. Generations ago, farmers made up a significant percentage of the U.S. population. They grew crops and raised livestock to feed their families. Today, farmers make up less than 2 percent of the population and yet they produce more than enough food for our families, all while reducing their impact on the environment.
