Fantasy Football Draft Party Playbook + Meatball Recipe

Football is famous for uniting friends and family as we cheer on our favorite teams playing America’s beloved game. From all-day tailgates to Hail Mary touchdowns, pigskin festivities provide family fun every weekend in the fall. While we leave the training and tackling to the professionals, fantasy leagues allow everyday football enthusiasts to get in on the action.

No fantasy team draft day party is complete without a spread including your favorite protein. Just like a coach, farmers ensure you’re eating healthy by keeping their lineup of animals in tip-top nutritional shape. They consult with professional animal nutritionists to build healthy, balanced diets including protein sources like soybean meal. Soybean meal encourages muscle growth and development for tasty, lean meats.

So, round up your rowdy fans and start planning your fantasy football draft party. We did the research and assembled a playbook for hosting a get together that will score major points with your friends.

Get Organized

It pays to be prepared when the gang shows up at your doorstep with big appetites, laptops and loud opinions. Have the rules for your league printed out so everyone stays on the same page. Make sure your Wi-Fi is ready to accommodate the real-time research that will take place throughout the draft. Make sure the commissioner keeps the group on track and records the picks of every round.

Arrange the Stadium

Fantasy football is like a science. There is research and strategy behind every pick. That said, drafts are known to take a while. Set up your space with comfortable and plentiful seating to keep guests in good spirits and choose someplace big enough to allow everyone a little elbow room.

Feed the League

With the competitive nature of fantasy football, tensions can rise. Don’t let your guests get hangry. Provide a hearty spread with options like Game Day Chili or Skillet Pizza and game-winning starters like our favorite homemade meatball recipe from Chef Jeni and Co. below.
