There’s your typical guacamole recipe and then there’s THIS secret ingredient guacamole recipe. Can you guess what the secret ingredient is?! Cheese! I mean, can you ever go wrong with adding cheese to anything?! It’s National Dairy Month and we teamed up with Midwest Dairy Association to bring you, hands down, the BEST creamy guac recipe out there.

Did you know — There are approximately 117,000 dairy cows in South Dakota that eat 31,000 tons of soybean meal each year? Holy guacamole!

Creamy Guacamole

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Place pulp of 2 avocados, yogurt, onion, cilantro, lime juice, jalapeño, garlic, and salt in a medium food processor.
  2. Pulse process the mixture until well blended and creamy.
  3. Cut remaining 2 avocados into medium-size pieces.
  4. Add avocados and mozzarella cheese.
  5. Pulse process just until blended leaving some pieces of avocado.
  6. Cover with plastic wrap directly on top of the guacamole.
  7. Chill 1 hour to allow flavors to blend.
