Local Farmers and Food Come Together at Made in South Dakota

Thanks to all who visited us at Made in South Dakota yesterday! We had a great time serving pork sliders, engaging in conversation and making that connection between local food and farming.

“We love connecting with South Dakotans about one thing we all care a lot about: food,” said Sarah Tveidt, communications director of South Dakota Soybean. “I talked to many people about making the right food choices for themselves and their families. Choice is a cornerstone to the ‘Hungry for Truth’ initiative. We want every South Dakotan to be well-informed and confident in the food choices they make.”

While visiting the “Hungry for Truth” booth, visitors could answer agricultural trivia questions and enter for the chance to win prizes. Lucky winner, Charlotte Ward took home a new KitchenAid mixer from “Hungry for Truth” the day of the event. Visitors to the booth also had the chance to register to win $25,000 toward new cabinets, counters and premium KitchenAid appliances from Karl’s Appliances, or $250 gift cards for a shopping spree at Family Thrift.
